Terms of Service

1. What ContaPic is
ContaPic is a receipt-organization service: you photograph receipts, our software extracts details using artificial intelligence, organizes them into expense categories, and produces reports. ContaPic is currently offered as a free beta ("Prototype"); features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued while in beta.
2. Not financial, tax, or accounting advice
ContaPic organizes your records. It does not provide tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice. AI-extracted data (vendor, date, amount, category, and similar) may contain errors — you are responsible for verifying every extracted value before relying on it, including for tax filings. Consult a qualified professional for advice.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us at support@contapic.com of any unauthorized use.
4. Your content
You own your receipt images and data. By uploading, you grant RoTeix Inc a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you — including sending receipt images to AI service providers for the sole purpose of extracting receipt data on your behalf. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
5. Accountant sharing
If you grant accountant access, the person who signs up with the email you authorize will see your receipts, images, and reports in read-only form until you revoke access. Granting and revoking access is your responsibility.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: upload content you have no right to upload; attempt to access other users' data; probe, disable, or disrupt the service; use the service for unlawful purposes; or resell it without our written consent.
7. Availability and beta status
The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. During beta we may modify or discontinue features, or suspend the service, at any time. Back up records you cannot afford to lose.
8. Fees
ContaPic is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will give you notice and the choice to accept before you are charged anything.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@contapic.com (in-app deletion may be added later). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon deletion, your receipts and images are removed from active systems within 30 days.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoTeix Inc's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including tax penalties, lost profits, or data loss.
11. Indemnification
You will indemnify RoTeix Inc against claims arising from your content or your violation of these terms.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
